There were very beautiful days on the allotment this winter. As I have been practically living there this year I have been lucky to witness them.
Even though I have spent so many hours outdoors most of my images picture breakfast bowls. I had to learn to love oats because they´re so easy (buy, store, cook) and keeps me going most of the day. Here´s buckwheat, oat milk, coconut, dates and blackcurrant.
This year my gardening budget with allotment is super-tight due to things I am obliged to buy in order to finish it so I try to grow as many plants from seeds as possible. Here´s hyssop and kohl rabi going in the pots. I dream of hyssop border in my garden. Kohl rabi I just sowed to get an early crop which didn’t´t go as planned because of the delayed spring.
I love low-contrast weather. For me the most beautiful landscape doesn´t have outlines, only different hues and blurred layers going from dark to light. Also, everything looks better when they´re backlit. And who would want to turn away from sun anyways?
Another bowl of oats. This version has oat milk, blueberries, coconut, raisins and banana. And always cardamon, my favourite spice and scent.
By the end of March all the surfaces were covered with plant trays. I have a lot of seeds I had for free so what´s the harm. Well now that I´m writing this I am quite fed up living with them. The weather is still very cold (only +10 celsius) and I have lost seedlings due to having to plant them outside too soon. As the weather has clearly changed in recent years I am looking into greenhouses. Perhaps buying one second hand…
More oats. This time with almond milk, flaxseed, apple, cinnamon, coconut, raisins & cardamon. Breakfasts are my favourite dish of the day and they just keep getting better (and easier) every day.
Here´s new houseplants that I have started as clippings. There´s begonia, pelargonia, hoya and pilea –very traditional, I know.
