_MG_4928Lark Tee by Grainline Studio
Size 4
100% silk (knit)

I had this silk knit in stash and decided to make a luxurious tee out of it. I wear layers of shirts throughout the winter but couldn´t excuse myself to buy something as expensive as this would be in store. Luckily the fabric came along with other stuff…

The Lark Tee is pretty much a perfect pattern as it is and luckily I can use sizes 4 and 6 straight from the pattern. I chose the smaller size but for this one I added 2.5cm / 1″ to sleeve length because I have long arms (not to mention my hands!).
_MG_4913The fabric is nice stretchy and crushy (because of silk) super-lightweight silk knit. Pardon the awful moiré in the pictures. In real life it looks a lot more sophisticated… It was surprisingly easy to sew and so easy to press crisply. It´s warm too and washes up nicely (hand wash). Wearing this tee for two days in row makes me dream of merino knit Lark Tee. I don´t know where to get that stuff here in Finland but I am going to look into it.

BTW I joined Kollabora. What an inspiring forum! Here´s my profile.

It looks so luxurious! My sister is getting some knit merino and I’ve asked for a shirt out of it…

love your lark in silk. I have just downloaded the pattern and plan to make some for next winter in merino wool jersey. You can buy lovely merino jersey from Tessuti.com.au and they ship overseas.
